After getting back home, Davis would often have flashbacks of this event, a symptom that is typically associated with post-traumatic stress disorder. He became awfully withdrawn from normal life and suicidal thoughts started creeping in. Captain Evans and his men walked slowly, judiciously calculating their steps to avoid stepping on the deadly IEDs.
