The location of electrons in orbits and shells
Unlike planets orbiting the sun, electrons cannot be at any arbitrary distance from the nucleus; they can exist only in certain specific locations called allowed orbits. This property, first explained by Danish physicist Niels Bohr in 1913, is another result of quantum mechanics. The electron travels in circular orbits around the nucleus. The orbits have quantized sizes and energies. Energy is emitted from the atom when the electron jumps from one orbit to another closer to the nucleus. Moving through the elements in the periodic table, each atom has one more electron than the last because the number of electrons is the same as the atomic number. Electrons occupy the shells in order, starting with the shell that is nearest the nucleus.
hen we hear the word Artificial Intelligence (AI), we are used up thinking of “human-like” or “general” intelligence. The centuries-long hunt to develop machines and software with human-like intelligence, inches closer to reality. Scientists develop intelligent machines that can simulate reasoning, develop knowledge and allow computers to set and achieve goals, moving closer to mimicking the human thought process. These intelligent systems improve the accuracy of predictions, accelerate problem-solving and automate administrative tasks bringing in an era of automation. Though this concept of AI exists for quite a while, it is only in the recent years that it has picked up on the…show more content… The rapid adoption of the machine learning technology in the advertising & media, finance and retail sectors in this region and increase in the usage of natural language processing techniques are contributing to the growth of the artificial intelligence market in APAC. AI is also driving the tech job market, particularly in the APAC region. AI is the wave which will push this generation towards the next industrial revolution. As of today, industries across the healthcare, finance, transportation, and manufacturing sectors are witnessing its hugely positive impact. With technological developments, we are ushering in an era which will witness automation in everyday activities and tasks to
