The type of mindset you most identify with

Choose which type of mindset you most identify with, either fixed or growth, and explain how this mindset affects how you feel about your intelligence and abilities. What did you see modeled in your childhood home, and how does that shape your thinking today?

The type of mindset you most identify with

According to researcher Carol Dweck, there are two types of mindsets: a mixed mindset and a growth mindset. In a fixed mindset, people believe their qualities are fixed traits and therefore cannot change. Alternatively, in a growth mindset, people have an underlying belief that their learning and intelligence can grow with time and experience. The type of mindset I mostly identify with is the growth mindset. This is because when I believe I can become smarter, and realize that my efforts has an effect on my success, so I put in extra time, leading to higher achievement.
